How I can help

My approach to therapy is relational, emotion focused, attachment based, and geared toward real solutions to provide you relief & healing. I am both gentle & direct, giving particular focus to the mind body connection & nervous system regulation. I provide clients with real, applicable tools for emotion regulation, communication, boundary setting, self care, cognitive reframing, and engaging in active choice making that will lead you to feel empowered to live a life fully aligned with your values & less impacted by the trauma echoes of the past.

Sessions with me will include, but are not limited to, the following: holding space for emotions, identifying/processing challenges & wins, examining the stories of the past that continue to impact your self view, deep diving into trauma or difficulties of the past that continue to resurface, experiential exercises, guided imagery, body awareness, basic emdr methods, and resourcing for coping/progressing outside of session.

  • People heal in the context of safe, healthy relationship. So first and foremost, a safe & strong therapeutic relationship will be built. Taking cues from you and welcoming feedback regarding what you need, I will offer my attention, energy, and expertise as you share your lived experiences. It is my top priority for clients to feel safe to be vulnerable & honest. With your healing in therapy being a collaborative effort, I will always be open to how your therapeutic experience could be even better.

How we spend our time in session can vary depending on your unique goals & needs. Some sessions will be primarily traditional talk therapy while other sessions may incorporate more somatic & experiential approaches. All methods are utilized with a person-centered approach, ensuring your well being & goals.

  • I’m grateful for the opportunity to support you on your journey towards trauma recovery! We’ll start with a free 20 minute phone consultation so that we can meet and see how we connect.

I believe wholeheartedly the connection between therapist and client matters deeply in therapy, so if either of us decides we are not the best fit, I will be happy to provide you with referrals.

  • This varies based on what your needs and goals are, as well as your own work outside of therapy sessions. Some clients need acute care for specific incidents in order to get through short term distress or decision making processes. Others need/want more long term support to process multiple traumatic events or have a safe space to come to when triggers arise or new life challenges are encountered.

For gals who are entering into self reflective and therapeutic work for the first time, more time may be needed. I have worked with some clients for multiple years, others a few months, and others still who come in as needed when they feel they need support, a container to process, a mental wellness refresh & encouragement.

We will work together to determine, treat, and evaluate your well being on an ongoing basis.
